Sunset at Glasson Marina

On our way to the lakes, we broke up our journey with a visit to a friend’s boat, which was moored up at Glasson Docks, not too far from Lancaster. Considering it is quite close to home, we hadnt heard of the area before. To our surprise, we stumbled across beautiful sea views, sunsets, beach and countryside. Driving through the green british scenery, winding country B roads meandering through quaint villages, was a delight after being in lock down in suburbia. When we arrived in Glasson, the nautical atmosphere, hearing the sea gulls and enjoying the days hot weather, we could almost pretend we were in a Mediterranean fishing village somewhere. The sunset was a pleasure to view from a nearby view point over looking the entrance way towards the Irish Sea. We will return to Glasson. Our new “go to” for a days out adventure.
