NOV 13th 2019

Catching a flight from Manchester to Abu Dhabi for a 6 1/2 hour flight. Was comforted to learn I was sitting next to the 7 other entertainers I would be spending my next few weeks with. I sat next to Derek. A very kind retired gentleman who had lived half his life in Singapore and Thailand. It made sense he was to be the Asia lecturer on board.
After only managing 2 hours broken sleep, it was time to disembark the plane and make a dash to our next plane, which would be taking us to Victoria in The Seychelles We had a 40 minute turn around.

I was amused to see the outer decoration of the plane we had just traveled on from Manchester! Being a ” Red “, our plane was adorned in blue paint and the wording ” Manchester City ” splashed across it. But thank you Etihad Airways, for getting me half way across the world safe and sound.

Scotland, Loch Lomond & The Kelpies

We love to head off to destinations in the UK. So for half term holiday, we went , what I call, looking for Autumn. During the October month, the trees show a glorious display of golds, reds and auburn. Scotland has it all, along with vast countrysides, Lochs and Mountains.

This time, we went to Loch Lomond. Certainly a place we will have to return to during a summer month.

Massachusetts

On the way..Pumpkins & Leaves

On our way from New York, as we left the noise and lights of the big city, we headed along the freeway towards the Berkshire Mountains.Ā  We had a stop on route in a little town, I can only equate to an American movie I have watched, only it was autumn, and the local church gardens were covered in pumpkins galore… The roads as we came off the highway turned to country side, blazed with the most amazing colours enriched in golds, browns, rustic reds and deep greens…. a glorious journey we have never seen before.

Since we visited this wonderful area so near to Vermont, Autumn is always on my mind…since visiting here, I have had a love for maple syrup, pancakes, cinnamon apples and pumpkin pies, and try to inject such delights into my breakfasts at home back in England.

Always a dream of mine to travel to New York.Ā  Dreams are for making, not for breaking…so it seemed a great idea to see The City that never sleeps, yet tie it in with another bucket list dream, seeing the Autumn Fall colour.Ā  a fab 4 nights in our NYC Hotel, just off Times Square, followed by a 4 night road trip to Great Barrington, Massachusetts,
